No Law No Gospel

THE LAW AND THE GOSPEL-NO LAW, NO GOSPEL.

Picture
It is important to see how the law goes with the gospel and how the gospel establishes the law. Without the law there would be no Gospel. As a servant of Christ, a Thusia seventh day Adventist, we must know how to explain the law and what it has to do with the salvation of humanity away from sin, especially the seventh day Sabbath. In this study we would see how the seventh day Sabbath is established within the scriptures.

First we would look at a scripture from Paul in the book of Romans 16:25,26 showing us that the gospel, the preaching of Jesus Christ, the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret when the world began but now is revealed to us, is according to the law.
"Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandments of the everlasting God, make known to all nations for the obedience of faith: to God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen."
In that scripture Paul shows that his gospel is the preaching of the gospel of Christ, which is the revelation of the mystery, the very plan of salvation that was kept secret from the foundation of the earth when it was created. But now it is manifested to us, in the scriptures of the prophets, thus the very salvation that God made for us through Christ was since the foundation of the earth and is written in the scripture of the prophets. The scripture goes on to show what is revealed is according to the commandments of the everlasting God (the law of God), which is for the obedience of faith.
Two points we have to note and ask ourselves these questions:
Why the mystery that was kept secret from the foundation of the earth is revealed to man?
Why is it revealed according to the commandments of the everlasting God?
This is explained quite clearly in scripture.
In Romans 5:12:
" wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned."
Here we see that sin entered the world by mankind. It was because of the fall of Adam and Eve that cause the mystery that was hidden from the foundation of the world to be revealed. In looking at Genesis 3:15 we see the first revealing of that mystery:
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
It is by the revelation of this mystery that put man at enmity with the devil, which involved the death of Christ. Why was it necessary to put mankind at enmity with the serpent? Because when mankind fall into sin, he was united with Satan in sin and against God, thus God in making salvation available for man is to save him from sin and put him at enmity with the serpent by reconciling him to God.  Therefore the free gift God made available for man is the everlasting gospel that Paul and all the apostles and prophets wrote about, and was revealed according to the law.( Isaiah 8:16,20, Romans 5:14-20,21)

BUT WHY ACCORDING TO THE LAW?
To understand this, we need to understand what was the sin of mankind.
We know that God told man not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil, he used the phrase "thou shalt not":
",And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
Mankind disregarding God through a philosophy of the exaltation of creation as god with God, man sinned against God. Genesis 3:1-6, Psalms 51:4
Paul touching on the free gift and its provision and how it deals with the offence which is sin in mankind, touches on the law and its entry to deal with the offence. This offence he show began with Adam, thus since Adam, was the law. Romans 5:12,20
Moreover since the offence was going against God, in rebellion against him and the law maintains the "thou shalt not " to point out the offence, then it follows that the offence (sin) is transgression of the law of God. Therefore it was the law of God that Adam and Eve broke. (Genesis 2:15,16, Genesis 3:1-6, exodus 20:1-17, 1 John 3:4).

This is why Paul said that the revelation of the mystery kept secret from the foundation of the earth was revealed according to the law because of the law they broke. Therefore the Gospel is for law keeping or to establish the law, to bring man back to Law keeping. Romans 5:20,21.
The gospel is the power of God unto salvation, this same gospel is the mystery. Romans 1:16,17, Ephesians 3:3,4,9. This gospel is the faith of Christ upon which the law is established in our mind through justification by faith making us sinfree. Romans 3:28,30,31, Romans 16:25,26.
Therefore the gospel was since the foundation of the earth and was revealed according to the law to establish the law because it's the law that was was violated and broken when man sinned against God.
And since the Sabbath starts with remember to pointing back to the foundation of the earth then it follows the gospel establishes Sabbath keeping. Also since the everlasting gospel was revealed to deal with the offence (sin) in man, thus the gospel is for sinfree living.

My people the law and gospel go hand in hand. All those who oppose the law oppose the gospel. To do away with the law is to do away with the Gospel. To seek to do away with the law is to do away with God.  Think about it meditatively.
"Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments,my statutes, and my laws." Genesis 26:5
The everlasting covenant was given to Abraham because of law keeping. And since through Abraham all nations of the earth are blessed, then all nations of the earth are blessed by the everlasting covenant which is the everlasting gospel. This blessing that all Nations receive through Abraham that the scripture foresee, is justification by God through which we receive the promise of the Spirit into our minds by faith(Galatians 3:7-9,14, Galatians 4:6). And when we receive the Spirit into our hearts by faith the law is established in our hearts.(Galatians 3:14, Galatians 4:6, Romans 3:20, Hebrews 8:10,11). Therefore God indwelling us by faith makes us sinfree. Thus justification by faith is sinfreeness. (Act 13:38,39, Romans 8:1,2,4,Romans 3:28,30,31). This change by the revelation of the mystery the everlasting gospel establishes Sabbath keeping to the people of God.( Hebrews 4:1-11).
This is the everlasting Gospel and we Thusia possess it. For this purpose we exist and are established by God, to revive true Seventh day Adventism and ancient Christianity upon the earth, to revive the heart of all those who would hear the Spirit of God, and stand against all who preach the doctrine of Satan in Sunday exaltation to exalt the Roman Catholic papacy. I say to all the sincere ones out there who love truth, check us out on YouTube thusia SDA gospel and our website http//:www.thusiasdaevangel.com

Sinfreeness is Possible

SINFREENESS IS POSSIBLE

Picture
The truth of the Scriptures teaches that Salvation is by Grace alone. The act of a man being born again, justified, receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit in the heart, made sinfree is a supernatural act, done by God alone. For none can remove the carnal mind from himself. John 3:5,6, (Galatians 3:3-9,14, Galatians 4:6) Romans 8:33, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
The question is what is sin? Nothing in the scriptures shows that sin is a nature. However, we are told that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  Romans 6:23.
  1. Sin is something that is done, therefore it is not the nature of man. “And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.”  1 Samuel 15:24
  2. Sin is not the nature of man; it is breaking the commandments of God. “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4
  3. Sin is anti-God behaviour for God is righteous. Whether in thoughts, word or actions. “All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.” 1 John 5:18. “In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.” “O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces…” Daniel 9:7 Emphasis supplied.
  4. Sin is faithless actions.  “And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” Romans 14:23
  5. Sin is failure to do that which is good.” Therefore, to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
Jesus explains that sin begins in the mind of man, therefore this is what must be addressed. “And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Mark 7:20-23
The Word of God shows that God, in making man sinfree, God crucifies the old man or the old way of thinking or the carnal mind. This science of how God makes a man sinfree Paul says we should know, lest we think God cannot make the comer to Him perfect. “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” Romans 6:6. We are told that when this work of crucifying the old man is done, that the body of sin or the perverted emotions are deactivated, that henceforth the man will not serve sin. This and many other ways the plan of salvation is described in the Bible.  Certainly, this is God making the penitent sinfree since the mind that has sinful values is put to death and the lusts found in the body are inactivated.  What are you telling me, this work is too hard for God to do? Certainly not! For he that is dead is freed from sin. Romans 6:7
Man needs to maintain this gift of sinfreeness by co-operating with God.  He must obey the conviction of the Holy Spirit. “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, [ sinfreeness] not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” 1 Philippians 2:12,13.  If the man fails to maintain his sinfreeness given to him by God, he must go to Christ to restore him again that he sins not. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”1 John 2:1.  The point is whether the person experiences justified abiding sinfreeness (punctuated sinfreeness) or sanctified all-times sinfreeness, sinfreeness is possible in this present world, in this body.

Beware exalting Lucifer as God with God

BEWARE OF FALSE DOCTRINES/KNOWLEDGE
THAT EXALT LUCIFER AS GOD WITH GOD!

PictureSatan said in his heart "I will be like the most High" Isaiah 14:12-14
A proper study of the holy scriptures will reveal to all that in this great controversy the whole issue is robbing God of His glory through sinning.  Throughout the Holy Scriptures God has reinforced His Godaloneness through His doctrines that destroy the Satanic claim. “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me…” (Emphasis supplied) Deuteronomy 32:39.  I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me, I am the LORD and there no God beside me…I am the LORD, and there is none else.  (Emphasis supplied) Isaiah 45:5,6
It is Satan that ancient serpent called the devil who sinned from the beginning and has deceived the whole earth with his doctrines.  For it is he who sought to exalt himself like the most high at the beginning of this great controversy. “And there war was in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels and prevailed not…and that great dragon… He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with in.” “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart… I will be like the most High. Revelation 12:7-9, Isaiah 14:12-14
In his temptation to man lies his esoteric doctrines that exalt him as God with God. When man receives his lies as truth they too rebel against God denying His Godaloneness.  Consider Genesis 3:1-6 what you will find are the fundamental concepts that exalt Lucifer to be God with God.
  1. Doubting the word of God is the way to knowledge. (“…yea, hath God said, ye shall not eat…?Genesis 3:2)
  2. Immortal Soulism. (“…Ye shall not surely die” or “in dying you shall not die..” Genesis 3:4)
  3. Self-salvation or works salvation (“…she took of the fruit” Genesis 3:6
  4. Humans are gods with God.(“ In the day, you eat thereof your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as God” Genesis 3:5
  5. Good and evil cohere together. (“You shall be as God knowing good and evil Genesis 3:5)
  6. Transgression of God's Law is salvation. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food …she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat…” Genesis 3:6)

Picture
Since these are the claims of Lucifer that exalts him as God with God, God has written unto us excellent things in counsels and knowledge that we may know the certainty of the truth, that we may witness that He is God alone. Proverbs 22:20:21, Isaiah 43:10.  Do consider these salient points.
  1. Believing the truths of the plan of Salvation which are the character of Christ is necessary for salvation.  Since there is one Saviour it means that God is God alone. “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” John 8:24, John 14:6
  2. It was because of unbelief that the children failed to enter into the rest of keeping God’s seventh day Sabbath. So today, because men doubt the word of God they fail to enter into His rest.  "Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:...Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief." Hebrews 4:6,11
  3. Only YHWH God has immortality; man is mortal therefore God is God alone. “Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light ...” 1 Timothy 6:15:16 The soul dies says YHWH; it is not immortal and Satan claims that ye shall not surely die. “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Ezekiel 18:4 (see also verse 20)
  4. Salvation by works profit nothing for Salvation is only by God’s grace or his mercy towards us, therefore since salvation is a gift of God, or that salvation can only be obtained from God, it means that God alone is God. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9
  5. “Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing...all nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.” Isaiah 40:15,17,25,26.  God alone created the heaven and the earth, therefore God is God alone.
  6. The wages of sin is death, both spiritual death and death in hell fires in the future, not salvation. For there is no salvation in sin but from sin. Again, the fact that God came in the flesh to save sinners, prove that He is God alone. “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23, “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21.
This bible study shows the need for the word of God or the doctrines of Christ to protect and keep us from the doctrines of Satan that exalts him as God with God. Our only security is through the faith of Christ. We must guard the avenues of our heart and not imbibe the doctrines of Satan that will rob us of Salvation. But we must use the faith to destroy these false doctrines that exalt Lucifer as God with God, for faith is the victory that overcomes the world of delusions.  May all be blessed and see the need to keep the faith always, amen.

Sinfreeness to overcome the Devil

SINFREENESS TO OVERCOME
DOCTRINES OF DEVILS

PictureThat one cannot be sinfree is a doctrine of demons/devils.
Two false doctrines that are established by evil angels as the two major doctrines of spiritualism( miracles worked by evil angels or the miracle working power of demons) are:
1) The Immortality of the Soul doctrine which teaches consciousness in death. That man's soul lives on after he dies, either in heaven or hell burning, while the bible does not teach this but it teaches otherwise to this falsehood.
2) The teaching that Good is dependent on Evil and evil on Good, that the one needs the other to strive, thus making no difference between Good and evil, putting them as going together. This doctrine is established by the teaching that a man cannot live without sin and a man is saved in his sin; that a man could serve God who is good, while in sin (evil), thus the unity of Good and evil together. This doctrine makes no difference between the purest, noblest of the apostles of Christ  and the most corrupt of the servants of Satan.

People who hold these teachings often point to the sinful life of the prophets and apostles who God redeemed from the vilest of sin making them sinfree, to justify their wicked evil ways to establish that dangerously false doctrine. These false doctrines open up the persons who hold those teachings to be a medium to evil angels or spiritualistic manifestations. Those who hold these teachings either come into contact with demons in the form of dead loved ones or just some dead person or some other form. They even appear to some as angels of light.

Picture"...turn to Christ and be made sinfree and be free from being a child, a puppet of the devil"
This is why the doctrine of sinfreeness is important to counteract and destroy these false doctrines in the mind of mankind freeing them from the medium of demons. The doctrine of sinfreeness shows when God crucifies the old man through the truths of Christ that he is destroyed which is to say out of existence (Romans 6:1,2,6,7,11). It also shows that when the old man is dead he does not live on (2 Corinthians 5:14,15). Thus the doctrine of sinfreeness establishes that when a man is dead, his thoughts of the carnal mind perish (Romans 6:1,2,6,7). My dear people turn to Christ and be made sinfree and be free from being a child, a puppet of the devil. 1 John 3:8,9.

Confession is also forsaking sins...

CONFESSION ALSO MEANS FORSAKING OF SINS

Picture

“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” 1 Jn.1:6-10.

1. What fellowship can we have with God if God is not in us? None! We would be found liars if we claim such. For, God is Truth and Light; and light hath no fellowship with darkness (spiritual darkness is sin). (Deuteronomy 32:4; 1John 1:5);  2 Corinthians 6:14, 17; Acts 26:18.

2. To have fellowship with God, we must have Him in us; and we must walk or abide in the truth. God dwells in us by His Word which is the truth.   1John.1:3; 2 John 4; John 17:17.

3. This abiding experience is a mutual-inness, the word in me and I in the word. John 15:4, 5, 7.

4. John used ‘Light’ to give a certain understanding as to how we must view the truth. John1:6-9, 14.
(We must understand that light is always shining or always giving knowledge or truth) “For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.” Psalm 36:9.
“Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Isaiah 56:1.

5. Jesus is the Light shining out or giving us the knowledge of God. John.1:18; (John 14:7-9)

6. The Light is the word. John1:1, 4, 8,9,14.

7. The blood of Jesus cleanseth us from all sins, the Bible shows blood symbolizes life. Leviticus 17:11

8. The word (life) is knowledge of God and Christ. Jn.17:3; 1 John 5:20; 2 Peter 1:1,2 .

9. This knowledge is revealed to us though His Son Jesus Christ. Thus, Jesus is the Revelator, who reveals God to man. Numbers 6:25; 2 Corinthians 4:3-6; Matthew 11:27; Revelation 1:1,5.

10. So Jesus’ life gives me the knowledge of God (The Divine Nature) 2 Peter 1:4; and the knowledge of Christ (The Divine Character) Hebrews 1:3; 2 John 9

11. Therefore, as this beautiful knowledge is revealed to our mind, we can now make genuine confession of our sins unto God through Jesus Christ. 1 John.1:9.
(When we confess our sins we receive from God Forgiveness and cleansing, which is sinfreeness.)

12. Confession also involves the forsaking of the sins. “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

13. Here is an example of one who forsook his sins (Paul). Acts 9:1-8,19,20,22, Acts 26:19, 20.

14. An example of one who forsook not his sins. (King Saul) 1 Samuel 15:24, 26 30.

15. This knowledge of God gives me hope in knowing that I will have forgiveness of my sins when I confess them to Him through Christ. I must always have truth in my mind – This is my constant forsaking of my sins. Philippians. 4:8, 9, 7.

16. The constant confessing and forsaking of our sins before God daily is to ultimately have all our historical past sins blotted out in the investigative Judgement. Psalm 32:5,6,( Psalm 34:1; Psalm 145:1, 2, 18); Acts 3:19.

17. I must always have an experience of thankfulness or gratitude to God for His loving kindness, His forgiveness and all the Truths revealed unto me for me to have genuine confession of my sins to Him. Ephesians 5:19, 20; Colossians 3:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

May the knowledge of God and Christ as presented in this short Bible study help you to have genuine confession and forsaking of all your sins; and may you have hope as God promises that "He (God) is faithful and Just to forgive you and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness", in order that you may have all your historical past sins blotted out in the investigative Judgement, in Jesus name. Amen.

PT.2 The Gift of Sinfreeness...

PT.2 THE GIFT OF SINFREENESS IS
THE POSSIBILITY & REALITY OF SINFREENESS.

Picture
Now let us understand how when God justifies a man he gives him the Gift of sinfreeness.
D. The work of Justifying a man is God's alone. Romans 3:30, Romans 8:33
-i. Justification is done by the Faith of God/Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 (Romans 3:3), Galatians 2:16, Romans 3:20,28
Note that man is Justified by the Faith and not by his human efforts or works.

E. Justification removes and replaces the carnal mind by giving the spiritual mind of life and peace. Romans 8:6, Romans 5:1, 18.
F. This Justification of life is called a free gift- Romans 5:16,18
-i. It is being Justified freely or a free gift by grace and not works- Romans 5:15, Romans 3:24, Ephesians 2:7-9
G. This free gift by grace or being Justified by Grace through faith, is a washing, regeneration and renewing (of the Holy Spirit) of the man. This is sinfreeness! Titus 3: (4)5-7
H. The same is also described as a change from unrighteous to righteous, from sinful to sinfree; the man is washed, sanctified, Justified by the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
I. Justification is also the putting to death of the old man, by the truths of Christ, which makes the man become dead to sin or sinfree. Romans 6:1-2, 6-7, 18, 22.

Picture
Note these expressions- "For he that is dead is Justified from the sin" (freed is rendered more accurately from the Greek as "Justified" and "the sin" is the sin of the carnal mind/old man)
"Being then made free from sin..."
"...now being made free from sin..."

* These expressions show that the work is being done to the man by God (Because it is God that Justifies and Christ the Son makes us free...). It is not something the human being does to himself and for himself. It is a Gift; given to the man and for the man.

Picture
J. Similarly, Justification is the gift of the new man because when the old man is removed the man is made new in experience/ spirit of his mind, which newness is in the knowledge of Jesus Christ His Creator and is in righteousness and holiness. Colossians 3:9, 10, Ephesians 4:22-24
In all this, it is God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Faith of Jesus christ, the knowledge of God, the Truth...which are the instruments and agents of the work of change, Justification, gift of sinfreeness.. to and in the man. It is NOT by human works at all; It is a GIFT!
K. Whenever man sincerely fulfills the conditions of repentance, believing and confession of his sins, as he receives conviction of the Holy Spirit, he receives forgiveness and cleansing which is the free gift of sinfreeness/salvation from sin. Mark 1:15, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:8-10, 1John 1:9
L. The man must now cooperate with God to keep his gift of sinfreeness in sanctification. Romans 6:11-14, 19, 1 John 3:9,6, 1 John 5:18.
M. He would keep himself in God/Christ and God is able to keep him sinfree to the end. John 15:4, 5,7, Jude 1:21,24, Revelation 14:1-5.

We conclude then that sinfreeness is a gift from God to man when he repents and believes the Gospel. It is not something mankind can work to attain for the first time because unconverted man is carnal and cannot do anything to change himself. It is precisely because God makes us sinfree that we can become sinfree in the first place. It is given sinfreeness! And it is the fact that sinfreeness is a gift which makes it possible and real for and in man. There is no inability in God to give us sinfreeness; He can give it and He does give it when we fulfill the above mentioned conditions. No longer doubt sinfreeness. Accept this beautiful truth about God's gift thereof and give yourself a chance to experience it, in Jesus' Holy name, Amen.

The Gift of Sinfreeness...PT.1

THE GIFT OF SINFREENESS IS
THE POSSIBILITY & REALITY OF SINFREENESS PT.1

Picture
ADMONITION: This presentation is meant to be studied prayerfully using the Holy Scriptures. Amen.
Many doubt that humanity can live sinfree in a sinful world. They deny the possibility and reality of sinfreeness for one or more of the following reasons:
1. Mankind has human nature and he MUST sin.
2. Mankind cannot achieve sinfreeness because he HAS sinned.
3. It is only when mankind's body is changed that he will be able to be sinfree. And more...

When examined carefully the reasons given are based upon false concepts in the mind; false concepts about:
a. The constitution of human nature
b. What is sin
c. The human body and its relation to sin
c. Past sins...etc.
Scriptures rightly divided plainly show that the problem is not human nature nor the flesh/body of humanity. Jesus Christ had sinful human flesh (flesh affected by sin but not infected by sin) and yet he did not sin-Romans 8:3, Hebrews 4:15. Additionally, the Bible shows that sinfreeness is the present reality of the converted man, despite his past committal of sin- 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 6:6,7, 11, 18, 22.
What the naysayers lack in their understanding is the TRUTH about HOW a person becomes SINFREE. You see, in their reason is the implication that sinfreeness must be achieved by some personal human effort. Yet the Bible shows that the possibility and reality of sinfreeness is seen in the fact that sinfreeness is a GIFT from GOD. Yes! The Bible never asks us to do anything to bring sinfreeness to ourselves for the first time, as if we could. Rather, it teaches that sinfreeness is a Gift of God, an act of God, the doing of GOD ALONE, to begin with. It is only after God initially gives sinfreeness to the penitent that he (the man) can then cooperate with God in keeping this gift. Let us understand this important truth with prayerful Bible study. (Get your Bible and say a prayer).

Picture
1. Mankind before conversion is sinful and cannot do anything else but sin. Romans 7:14-20, Romans 8:6-8, 1 John 3:4.
2. Unconverted man, committing sin is described as a "SLAVE" (servant) to sin. John 8:34, Romans 6:17, 20. (The word servant is more accurately translated 'slave' from the original Greek)
3. The unconverted is described as guilty and under condemnation of the law to death. Romans 3:9-19, Romans 7:24, Romans 5:12,16,18.
4. We are told that sin is of the Devil and only the Son of God-Jesus Christ who is God in the flesh- is capable of destroying the works of the Devil. 1 John 3:8
Thus we see that mankind in an unconverted state cannot make himself stop sinning; he cannot by any self-effort free himself from sin, the carnal mind, guilt, condemnation and death. Sinfreeness is a work only God can do; it is the gift of God to man. Let's examine this.

Picture
A. Jesus says only he-the Son of God-can make the slave to sin truly free from sin. John 8:34,32,36
B. This is truly a divine work because it is by the sending of the Holy Spirit of truth into the man's mind that he is made to know the truth, which Christ says makes him free. John 16:13-15, John 15:26, John 14:16,17,18.
C. This knowledge of the truth about God and Christ is also called Eternal Life and it is a gift. John 17:3, John 5:20, Romans 6:23
Thus, the Son of God makes us free from sin or sinfree and this sinfreeness is the knowledge of the truth revealed by the Holy Spirit, which knowledge in the mind is the experience of Eternal life, which is a gift. In short, sinfreeness is a gift; it is given sinfreeness. There is more evidence of this.
Since sinful, carnal man is all wrong, he needs to be made or put right. This work in scripture is also described as man being "justified". It means being "rightified"; being made right. You will see it is God's work and it is the same gift of sinfreeness.

The Just shall Live by Faith

"THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH"

Picture
I wrote out this brief study and presented it to new converts to Jesus Christ, as a brief introduction to the importance of the doctrine of Justification by Faith. It is by no means exhaustive on the subject.

We can never overestimate the importance of understanding the work of God in Justifying man by faith and the need of personal faith daily to maintain one's Justification or conversion. The changes in the convert's life will only be because of Justification and will come over time of growing in the faith of Jesus Christ and learning how to live by it. All reformations in the life will only be genuine and lasting when they come about by the mind of the individual being educated in and motivated by faith. This is the heart and life change that God requires; not following traditions with no faith behind them. Therefore each new convert must understand this doctrine as a priority.

1.  "
The Just shall live by faith" is a biblical concept-Romans 1:16,17, Hebrews 10:38, Habbakuk 2:4

WHO IS THE JUST MAN?
2. The Just man is the man whom God has been justified by faith. Romans 8:33, Romans 5:1,

3. This Justification is a change; a washing of regeneration and renewing of the person, from unrighteousness to righteousness, from sinfulness to sinfreeness. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Titus 3:5,7

4.      This Justification is also the blessing of the gift of the Holy Spirit in the mind, giving you the spiritual mind. Romans 5:1, Romans 8:6, Galatians 3:7-9,14, Galatians 4:6

5.      This Justification makes you keep the whole law of God. Romans 3:30,31, James 2:8-12

All of this is the same as conversion, being changed, being saved from sin, being made sinfree and such like; it is Justification which produces the Just man.

The Just shall live by faith means that the justified man must continue in his justification or maintain it, by living by faith.

SO, WHAT IS FAITH?
Faith is the revealed truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ/God.
a.     Faith is the words of faith which are preached- 1 Timothy 4:6, Romans 10:8
b.     This word is truth. John 17:17, James 1:18
c.    Faith, which is words of truth, is revealed. Galatians 3:23
d.     These truths are the truths of Jesus Christ or the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:27.

WHAT ABOUT BELIEVING?
Contrary to what many teach Faith is different from believing. Faith is a noun while believing is derived from a verb (to believe). Faith is outside of us but believing is a mental work of humanity and angels of accepting something as truth. However, we do have to believe the faith.
a.      Faith is the Faith of God whether we believe or not. Romans 3:3,4
b.      All men can believe but all men do not have Faith. 2 Thessalonians 3:2
c.      Even the Devils (evil angels) can believe but do they have faith? No! James 2:19
d.      Believing is a mental act of accepting something as true and this is what we have to do concerning the faith; we must believe the faith. Galatians 2:16

3.  Therefore, for the Just to live by faith means he/she must live by the revealed truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ/the revealed truths of Jesus Christ/God.
a.      This means studying the faith or truths daily.
b.      Believing the truths always.
c.      Allowing the truths of the scriptures to be lodged in our reasoning, directing our every view, behavior and decision.

THE JOY OF YAHWEH'S SALVATION

Picture

1. As Christians we must like to retain God in our knowledge for freedom from sin or to have morality,  since those who are immoral are those who  do not like to retain God in their knowledge.  Romans 1:28-31
2. When something is liked, it is because of the pleasure or pleasant experience it gives. Therefore to like to retain God in your knowledge is to like the experience God gives.  Proverbs 22:17,18, Proverbs 2:10,11, Psalms 43:3-5
3. We are encouraged in Scripture not to lean upon our own understanding but in all our ways to acknowledge God. This is the same as retaining God in our knowledge. Proverbs 3:5,6.
4. However, there are some that reject God, they do not desire the knowledge of YHWH’s ways, they do not serve him and they do not see any benefits to be gained from keeping God in their knowledge or consciousness.  Job 21:14,15
5. They are lovers of worldly pleasure than lovers of God. 2 Timothy 3:2,4, 2 Thessalonians 2:12
6. However, there are benefits to be gained as we retain God in our knowledge. We are told,  “By His knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many”. So through the knowledge of Christ one receives the experience of  being justified or freedom from sin.  Isaiah 53:11, Romans 6:6,7
7. This is the same as becoming idol free because through justification God dwells in your heart through the Holy Spirit, replacing the idols (idol values). Ezekiel 36:25-27, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 1 Corinthians 13:14
8. Idol values separate us from God. They are the reason why men sin. Idols in the heart mean the absence of YHWH from the heart. Ezekiel 8: 8-12, Ezekiel 14:3-5,7, Romans 1: 21-23, Mark 7: 20-23.
9. But now being made free from sin through justification, we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and become servants of God. Through the indwelling of the Spirit of God we establish the law of God.  So instead of the experience of sinning, we are blessed with the experience of sinfreeness. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11,  Romans 6:22, Galatians 4:6, 1 John 4:13, 1 John 3:24.
10. Through the indwelling of God we experience achieved victory over sin. 1 John 2:15-17, 1 John 4:4, 1 John 5:4
11. This sinfree experience is the same LIFE that Christ came to give us. John 4:14, John 7:37-39, Matthew 1:21
12. The work of the Spirit is to reveal God to man, since He speaks of Christ and Christ is the one that reasonably explains the Divine Nature to us.  John 1:18, John 16:13-15
13. Many do not like to retain God in their knowledge because God in us through the Spirit of  Truth convicts of sin, righteousness and judgement and because their deeds are evil.  John 16:7,8,13,14, John 3:19,20
14.  The constant chastening from God (instruction in righteousness), to prevent us from building  again the things we once destroyed, is not joyous but the benefits gained when we do listen (retain God in our knowledge) yield the  peaceable fruit of righteousness.  John 16:7,8,13,14, Hebrews 12:11.
15. As we listen to God as revealed  by the Holy Spirit through the faith and believe the faith, God  remains in  us  causing us to do His good pleasure. Romans 1:16,17, (Romans 3:22, Jeremiah 23:5,6) 1 John 4:13, Philippians 2:12,13.
16. This is the experience of life and peace;  it is having the spiritual mind. Romans 8:6.
17. Having the Spirit of God and Christ, walking according to the revealed truths, we are free from condemnation, from the law of sin and death because we are made keepers of the law through the Holy Spirit.  Romans 8:9,10, 14, Romans 8:1,2,3.
18. As you choose to like to retain God in your knowledge, to experience the joy of His salvation, I pray these things for you by God’s grace:
a. That “the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13
b.  That “the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thessalonians 5:23
c. And that, “the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,  make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever." Amen. Hebrews 13:20,21.

How Deep is Your Love?

How Deep is Your Love?

Picture
In Matthew chapter 10: 16-42 the disciples’ minds were presented a gospel that brings to mind the question “How deep is your love for the master?” Likewise as Christ’s disciples today, we are asked this very same question, how deep is my love for my master?
Presented in this gospel sermon is persecution from all sectors of society: the government, countrymen, family, friends and the world.  There is no security for the Christian with the unconverted who receiveth not the saying of Christ.  Christ said, “He that receiveth you receiveth me, and him that receiveth me receiveth Him that sent me.” Matthew 10:41   It is only when the gospel of Christ is received in the heart that harmony can exist as we relate to our fellowmen, but not all men have the love of truth experience.   Rejecting the Gospel of Christ is the reason why there is so much hatred in the world today.  But accepting the Gospel of Christ, that beautifies the experience giving the believer good personality traits which include natural affection, will only be manifested in love one towards another.    Hatred for Christ causes hatred for Christ in you. Christ says “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.” (Matthew 10:24) The affections of the rejecter of Christ become so destroyed, so unnatural that father, mother, child, siblings, in-laws would rather have you dead simply because of the faith of Jesus lived by you.
This test will come upon all who claims to love Christ. How deep is your love? You will have to answer personally.  Would you choose the favor of family and friends? Would you rather be in good graces with the governors and judges or will you bear it all for Christ’s sake?  I want to bear it all for Christ’s sake. I want my values and affections to be for God who is supreme (God alone), for without Him there will be no mummy, daddy, sister, brother, husband, child, uncle, aunty, friend, society nor government. Without Him there would be no me! And so  I prayed asking God to make me anew, to give me new values and affections so that I would rather face the hatred of my family and friends, that I would rather be hated of all men for His sake than to hear from Him that I am not worthy of Him.  Give me new affections dear Father that my love for you will surpass any love I have for any human being that I may be worthy of you. Give me a willingness to endure to the end that I may be saved, help me to learn these lessons now and to always chose you no matter what the test may be, in Jesus Holy name.
 So I would rather:
  1. Fear not him which kill the body, but fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
  2. Confess Christ before men, than to be denied by Christ before His Father.
  3. Be at variance against my father and mother, sister, brother etc.  for Christ’s sake than to have “peace”
  4. I rather to take up my cross and follow Christ, than to hear that I am not worthy of Christ.
  5. To lose my life for His sake and to find it again than to deny him to find (save) my life and lose it.

May your love and my love for God be as deep and true that no earthly tie would separate us from our God.  Amen.
