The Trial of your faith ![]() “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:7 God wants to bring us to a state in our experiences where we exalt Him as God alone, so at times to humble us, to prove us, to know what is in our hearts, whether we will keep all His commandments, which is to have him as God alone, our faith is tried. What we do, when we are tried and tested will either exalt YHWH as God alone or exalt creation as god with God (This is the depth of Satan-the very first sin in the universe). But Christ has already shown us, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24. ![]() As the children of Israel were tested in the wilderness for forty years, YHWH preserved and sustained them. We are told, “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” That YHWH “brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint… fed thee in the wilderness with manna…” Deuteronomy 8:4, 15-16. While YHWH proved them for forty years he was very nigh them. He did not forsake His people; He was ever there to uphold them with His right hand. So likewise when we are tested and tried YHWH is very near to keep and sustain us. The Children of Israel made many mistakes throughout their journey in the wilderness. So much they exalted creation as god with God and forgot to keep His commandments, they forgot God. This prevented them from receiving the blessing of entering into the promise land. They failed of the saints’ reward. Your testing might not be like that of the Children of Israel. However, whatever is the nature of your trial, the same principles are set forth. Will we keep all God’s commandments exalting Him as God alone or will we break the commandments, thus exalting creation as God with God? The former we must ensure is our experience during the trial of your faith. This is based on reading Deuteronomy chapter 8. By Sis. Karima Parris

Amen sister trials are only allowed by God to get us stronger and preserve us in the truth, glorifying God as God alone.

Amen sister. I am so blessed by this. Through faith we understand the purpose of trials and we must therefore not mourn, murmur and complain but accept that the Lord's perfect will is being worked out for us through them. I often say that when we are tried is to really see how deep is our love for God; how real is our Christian experience. For God does not want any 'dry weather' follower. We must show we serve Him only, through the rain and the heat-at all times. "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" Matthew 24:13

What a wonderful saviour is Jesus my Lord. A very beautiful exposition of the scriptures of truth sister Karima. Indeed we must not break the golden thread that unites the church on earth with the church in heaven, that being exalting YHWH to be God alone. I love how the scriptures you used show that even in trials God takes care of his own.Christ as our example when he faced his hour of trial did not cease to glorify God. Even in our trials and tribulations we must consistently say " Thou art God Alone.'' We now know the truth that coconut oil making process shows us how we must be under trials and persecution, right? Thank you sister Karima for letting God use you to share these wonderful truths. YHWH Gadole.

Thanks very much sis. Karima. This did a wonderful work in helping me to re-consider the depth of my love and sincerity to my YHWH who has been nothing but LOVE and Mercy towards me, even in allowing me to pass through trials...they are indeed His tools to test and perfect our faith. May the LORD help us not to shy away from them that we may be fitted for these times and to enter His heavenly garner. The trials we face now will be NOTHING in comparison to all that YHWH has in store for the faithful. Let us endure to the end my brethren. Thanks again sis. Monifa...I love how you wonderfully mixed in the scriptures. Keep it up by God's grace dear.:)

I am so happy to know that this blog has been a source of encouragement to us all. It behooves us to past each trial through sinfreeness as they come upon us. YHWH does not give us more than we can bear. We can do all things through Christ who strenghteneth us. King David had this to say after declaring YHWH's Godaloneness, " Ye that love YHWH, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hands of the wicked (remembering that wicked one toucheth us not in 1 John 5:18) Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in YHWH, ye righteous; and give thanks at his holiness. Psalms 97:9-12. Keeping sinfree in all our trials, God will preserve us; He will deliver us and make us glad. Help us Lord Jesus, help us.

Very Encouraging words penned to help us endure my dear sister, as I read this blog again I remember those who have gone before us; willingly laying down their lives for the sake of the gospel, some being burnt to the stake as you've depicted in the sketch above, others being tortured and persecuted in so many horrible ways by the Roman Catholic Church for thousands of years, all because they held a different religious view which is the truth; they were called heretics. During the dark ages, for so those years are called, millions of our brothers and sisters were martyred. We are told that their blood ran like water in the streets. Thus, it behooves us to take up the mantle as did Elisha after Elijah was translated; and personally prepare to endure what is before us by God's grace. Yes, the battle continues: YAHWEH GOD IS GOD ALONE!!!
